Singer / songwriter Zach Hood has released the official video for his new single 'never knew a heart could break itself'. With over 1 million followers on TikTok and 3.3+ million monthly listeners on Spotify alone, this is an artist who is seriously on an upward trajectory!

The emotionally rich track lyrically tells of what happens when Zach goes through a breakup. He says,

"This song describes a reality where I break up with someone – feeling that it’s time for both of us to “move on” – but I slowly regret my decision while she genuinely has moved on, leaving me feeling incredibly stuck. In this reality, I haven’t done any moving on while she undeniably has. “But I can’t take the photos of us off the shelf" shows that I clearly can’t get past this relationship, yet I still don’t want to selfishly intervene in her life and mess up anything good going on for her. Those photos and memories are all that I have left."

Born and raised in Daphne, Alabama, Zach Hood can remember belting out Bruno Mars from his car seat as a toddler. He taught himself how to play piano by watching (and re-watching) countless videos on YouTube. In middle school, he engaged his classmates by taking requests for acapella covers and then posting them on Instagram, tagging the requester back. By his junior year of high school, Zach was hyperactively posting content on TikTok.

In January 2021, Zach unveiled his debut single 'Flashbacks', which unapologetically opened the wounds of his fractured family. Resonating with listeners, it quickly gained millions of streams across all DSP platforms and landed on Spotify’s coveted New Music Friday playlist. 'Isabelle', his second single catapulted the artist to a larger conversation in music and racked up 25+ million streams in just the first few months. Not bad for someone who just a few months prior had never set foot into a recording studio.

Now based in Los Angeles, Zach has signed a deal with Arista Records and landed representation from William Morris Endeavor. He will make his debut festival performance at Hangout Fest in his hometown of Alabama in May 2022.
