New Jersey based singer and producer Caroline Byrne is following up with another track that is trademarked with her soulful vocal style. For 'Wish I Didn’t Miss You' she teams up with Tudor, Welsh singer, songwriter & producer with over 200 million Spotify streams on his catalogue.
When the two of them met partying in London and exchanged contacts, the creative chemistry was instant.
Caroline says,
“From then on, we found ourselves talking almost every day- sharing tracks, inspiration, and ideas on WhatsApp. One of those ideas was covering Angie Stone’s, 'Wish I Didn’t Miss You'. I recorded the vocals in my closet & he built the rest out. Without realizing, we made a track that fused together both of our musical influences - his being UK dance and mine, American R&B.”
Tudor is also genuinely fond of the track,
“Angie Stone’s version will forever and always be the true source magic. The idea was to infuse one of my favourite songs of all time with my own tastes in both world & dance music, whilst trying to maintain the spirit and emotion of the original record. We’re both super proud and humbled the original writers gave this version the green light, and now we’re ready for the world to hear it.”
