Maisie Peters releases new single 'Sad Girl Summer' - all about letting go of things and people that aren’t worth your precious time and energy, and celebrating the people in your life that are.
With its laid-back guitar riffs and catchy melody, Maisie Peter’s 'Sad Girl Summer’ is sure to be a summer chart-topper. Maisie’s sweet voice fits perfectly with the song’s mellow vibe and relaxed rhythms.
She says:
'Sad Girl Summer' is all about letting go of things and people that aren’t worth your precious time and energy, and celebrating the people in your life that are.”
Born and raised in Steyning, the young West Sussex artist attracted hundreds of followers with her emotionally insightful lyrics and acoustic folk-pop tunes. Whether her lyrics are written from a personal viewpoint or a fictional one, Masie aspires to have her songs resonate with people.
"I’m not trying to do anything new, just something necessary.”
Maisie’s experimentation with “warm pop” makes her stand out from mainstream pop artists. Her tunes manage to capture both the infectious energy of party pop and the emotional intimacy that comes with storytelling. This style is captured in her hit songs like, ‘Stay Young’ written last summer with RØMANS (John Legend, Elton John, Little Mix). In 2018, Maisie got a chance to further showcase her talent during a UK tour with fellow singer-songwriter Tom Walker.
Although Maisie’s career takes her to new surroundings, she is forever loyal to her authentic sound and personal ambitions.
