John Newman has recently released his first single of 2022, titled 'Waiting For A Lifetime' - and it is everything that you would expect from one of his tracks, with a particularly stand-out anthemic-like chorus, and the single certainly leaves you wanting to get to a dancefloor and dance along!

His welcome return to the music industry has been hugely anticipated, after he took some time away from music, going back to the roots of his passion. He then started to make dance music instrumentals and managed to reconnect with his soul roots, fuse vocals and guitar-based sound, with his dance and hip-hop beats. His new release sees him combine all of his phenomenal talents, just like he had originally intended.
'Waiting For A Lifetime' is quite possibly John Newman at his best. You will instantly want to replay the track over and over again. A definite club-certified banger, this track is certain to be dominating the UK charts in no time! The strong bass beat and production throughout, accompanied by his exceptional vocals and upbeat nature of the track, make for an excellent release!
"To discover the next step in this amazing journey I've been on took some pretty challenging days. It is hard to change and adapt yourself when it's only you that has curated your own barriers. For years I was leaning on a side of me that was influenced by Northern Soul and Motown. Although it will always inspire me, I felt I began to lose grip, lose focus and become disorientated. I had to stop making music and try to hold my creativity back as I was using it as a device to cover up my emotions and fears. When I achieved feeling positive and better, I felt I was really missing something which was music, being creative and a project!"
Over the years, he has written and performed on some of the biggest anthems over the past decade, with singles such as 'Love Me Again' and 'Blame,' the worldwide smash hit by Calvin Harris, with John Newman on lead vocals. Since that time, he has travelled the world, headlining some of the most legendary venues and is back stronger than ever, with 'Waiting For A Lifetime' only being the beginning of what is set to be a very exciting year for him!
