Singer-songwriter HRVY has released his new single, 'Stolen Heart', a playful, doo-wop inspired track with a heartbeat-like rhythm and infectious chorus guaranteed to stick in your head, marking a distinctive return to his pop roots.
HRVY co-wrote 'Stolen Heart' alongside Kylie Minogue and Sigala collaborator Danny Shah and Dominic Lyttle, and the track was produced by Lateshift. A heartbroken HRVY can be seen singing to his ex-girlfriend (played by Emmerdale actress and real-life girlfriend Mimi Slinger) in the hilariously quirky and surreal accompanying music video, while devastating lyrics juxtapose the lively melody.
HRVY says,
“I’m so excited to be going back to my pop roots. 'Stolen Heart' has been a long time in the making with an old school HRVY feel to it. I can’t wait for the fans to hear it.”
Directed by Patrick Silla, the video opens with HRVY walking towards the stage with a wig and sunglasses on the back of his head. He starts performing with his back to the crowd, attracting little attention. We see his old flame enter with her ex. The ex-partner leaves HRVY’s former lover to watch the show and the room begins to slowly brighten. Some of the audience stand up and dance with members of the crowd joining him on stage. HRVY’s old lover is taken aback by the spectacle and her eyes are locked on him. HRVY makes his way off stage towards his ex-girlfriend. He gets to her and turns around, revealing his face to everyone sat down at the bar and HRVY and his ex are reunited on stage.
His EP, 'Views From The 23rd Floor' has accumulated over 90 million streams and saw HRVY step into a more mature sound while the standout track, 'I Wish I Could Hate You', continued HRVY’s impressive trajectory. He went on to release summer dance anthem, 'Save Me' with GRAMMY nominated artist and producer Steve Aoki which became a US Dance Radio Top 10 hit, along with his 2023 knockout, 'All or Nothing' with German hit-machine, producer & DJ, Topic.
At 24 years old, HRVY already fosters an incredibly mighty online following spanning the globe, pushing 3 billion streams across all platforms, and a string of sold-out headline shows in North America, Asia, and Australia. His live performances in the UK already include sold-out headline shows at the Royal Albert Hall, Eventim Apollo and London Palladium as well as appearances at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend and Capital FM’s Jingle Bell and Summertime Ball. Multi-hyphen HRVY also enjoyed an incredibly successful stint and reached the final of the UK’s biggest TV show, Strictly Come Dancing.
