FESTIVALS
LooseFest, the largest music festival in the North East is set to take place on the weekend of 30th and 31st July with up to 30,000 attendees each day.
Thanks to a ground-breaking partnership with The Freemen of Newcastle and on-going support from the City council to finalise the licensing arrangements, this year will see LooseFest make history as the largest music festival ever to take place at its new home on Newcastle’s Town Moor.
Dwarfing the scale of its 2021 site at Herrington Park in Sunderland, event organisers vowed to utilise the inner-city green space to plant Newcastle and the North East firmly on the UK festival map and offer a welcomed and sustainable boost to the local & wider economies.
The highly anticipated event's phase one line-up boasted a line-up of huge names including Black Eyed Peas, chart toppers including Joel Corry, AJ Tracey and Clean Bandit and an equally impressive tech-house line-up including Jamie Jones, Lee Foss and local legend Patrick Topping. Mabel, Jonas Blue and Example are also included in stellar list of names which mixes together international headliners, retro, pop, disco and 'under-the-radar' buzz acts, and organisers promise huge festival production and an equally incredible atmosphere. The coveted bash will feature ‘insta-ready’ installations, carnival big top tents and a food village with multiple food offerings, overseen by a top chef as well as VIP areas and 'posh loos'.
Simon Sykes, also one of the founding members of LooseFest said.
“The LooseFest team have a wide span of festival, event and food experience and this year’s music festival will be our biggest to date. A range of day and weekend tickets are now available, along with VIP and corporate hospitality options – there’s something for everyone”.
