EIGHTY NINETY RETURN WITH NEW EP 'THE NIGHT SKY'

LISTEN

Eighty Ninety, the indie-pop project of NYC-based brothers Abner and Harper James, return with their highly-anticipated EP, 'The Night Sky'.

The focus track, which is also titled 'The Night Sky', is a classic Eighty Ninety track, packed with glittery synth-pop production, ethereal vocals, and driving indie-pop instrumentation.

They say on the track,

“This song is about seeing the universe and your future in the face of the person you love — and how when you're in love, all three of those things can feel pretty much the same."

The 8-track EP includes a mix of previously released singles and brand new tracks and has been a year and a half in the making. Made up of vignettes from the pair’s shared history as brothers and collaborators, 'The Night Sky' explores themes of love, choices, friendship, heartbreak, hope, memories and dreams.

“When we were writing and producing these songs we found ourselves returning to a central theme: that powerful feeling that some things in our lives are meant to be, and how that feeling impacts the choices we make that shape our lives."

NYC-based brothers Abner and Harper James fuse intimate storytelling, sticky melodies, and minimalist pop productions built on acoustic instruments and electronic sounds in a style they call '808s and telecasters'.
