NEW MUSIC / NEWS / REVIEWS
22 year old artist Ben Leit has released his brand new single 'Déjà Vu', a cool lo-fi pop number fusing elements of R&B with indie to create a track which he says he is "super proud" of, alongside an official music video.
With a woozy backdrop of funky synths, cool guitar and light drum beats, 'Déjà Vu' is a super slick offering from Ben as he channels the sounds of artists such as Dominic Fike and boy pablo but creates a sound that is all his own. Ben's vocals are chilled and easy listening, flowing perfectly throughout with a soulful energy.
He says on the track,
"'Déjà Vu' is both a love song and an ode to the feeling that "I've been here before" – examining the cyclical nature of both life and romance!"
Ben Leit is a fully-formed human being with distinct opinions and hobbies and all that good stuff. He loves to be silly and he also loves to have fun. He loves to do a little bit of this, a little bit of that. He loves to do a little bit of everything! He likes to learn. He likes to be serious every once in a while (but not too much). He is exactly seven feet tall. He can dunk a basketball. He has friends and family (they are great). His dad showed him Thelonious Monk when he was two, and now, here we are. Just like that.
'Déjà Vu' is out now.
