Hailed as an 'awkward pop pioneer,' the unbelievably talented Belot is back with her brand new single, titled 'Harmless Fun.'
The single follows the same pattern that she has paved for herself with her previous releases, including 'Familiar' and 'Bed,' and also follows on from her 'Electric Blue' EP, which was released last year.
'Harmless Fun' is instantly infectiously upbeat and will have you wanting to dance along right from when the first beat of the track drops|! Featuring bouncing production and glittering guitar hooks, this new single marks the beginning of a new era in her music career, allowing her to emerge as a stronger and more carefree artist.
When speaking about her new single, Belot explained:
"'Harmless Fun' came about during the first lockdown in the UK. I found myself binge-watching 'Modern Family' and it led me to this idea. The concept was essentially: What if the Dad character (Phil Dunphy) turned up to a conference thinking it was going to be a very legitimate and educational work conference, and then all of a sudden, he sees a whole bunch of businessmen absolutely hammered. He swiftly realises this is an adult version of spring break. The song is about giving in to the lighter side of life, and not being afraid to let your hair down. After all, that's what life is about, having fun!"
A twenty-two year old song-writer based in London, Belot has become renowned for having her own distinct brand of cheeky, honest and vulnerable pop music - with the three making for a perfect combination! One thing about Belot's music is certain, though. Her music is set to be your companion, shaking up your life, along with providing something unique and truly addictive.
'Harmless Fun' is out now and is available to purchase and stream through all major purchasing and streaming outlets.
